After 20 years fans can finally look forward to an uncut version of Starship Troopers (1997). According to the report , the science-fiction classic by director Paul Verhoeven (RoboCop) was taken prematurely from the index list of the Federal Inspectorate and may appear after a re-examination by the FSK uncut on DVD and Blu-ray.
Already, the controversial Kinofilm about the fight against the bugs for the home cinema is available, but in abridged version. The film is loosely based on the novel by Robert A. Heinlein and is the start of a successful franchise with additional films, series and video games.
Invasion of the Bugs: Starship Troopers Remake planned
For some time now, the film studio Sony has planned a new film of the science fiction classic Starship Troopers from the year 1997. Lastly, the two authors Mark Swift and Damian Shannon were entrusted with a screenplay. Edward Neumeier (RoboCop), who has already written the screenplay for Paul Verhoevens Starship Troopers, is responsible for the film’s directorial and screenplay.
