Activision Blizzard Studios is lining up Stefano Sollima to direct its upcoming movie adaptation of Call of Duty. That’s at least according to sources close to Variety, which claims the Sicario 2 director is currently in negotiations to helm the big-budget military flick.

The Call of Duty movie is being produced by Stacey Sher and Nick van Dyk of Activision Blizzard Studios, along with Activision Blizzard overlord Bobby Kotick. Meanwhile, the script has already been penned by Kieran Fitzgerald though details on the plot are not known at this point.
