PS4: Trophies can be converted into PSN credits
Sony has introduced a new system on the PS4 that allows you to exchange your hard-earned trophies for real money. This can then be used in PSN to buy new games. Unfortunately, the system currently has a catch for us.
Whether on PS4, Steam or the Xbox One: Everywhere, many players chase down trophies, achievements and achievements to boast online. So far, the virtual badges of success have been relatively useless. This is changing now at least with the PS4. Sony has introduced a new system that allows you to exchange your hard-earned trophies for credit in the PSN store. At least in theory.
For example, there are 100 points for 100 silver trophies. 25 Gold Trophies earn 250 points, while 10 Platinum Trophies earn 1000 points. If you collect 1000 points, you are currently getting ten dollars of PSN credit. These can be used for every title in the store. Theoretically, new games like Assassin’s Creed Origins and Wolfenstein 2 can be bought cheaper.
But currently this feature is only available in the US. Why is this limitation? Well, that’s just a good question. Sony does not provide an answer so far . Whether the trophy system hits Germany in the future remains to be seen. But if you want to prepare for the possible release, you can start collecting trophies for the PS4 right now.
