Owlboy has received an appointment for the console release. The already available for the PC Jump & Run will be released in February 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.

The pretty pixel platformer Owlboy has been available for the PC since the end of 2016 and will also be flapping on the PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch at the beginning of next year – on February 13, 2018 . That’s what Developer D-Pad recently announced (via Eurogamer ).

However, the release date for the console versions of the game only refers to the digital version. In the course of the coming year, according to D-Pad, there will also be a retail version of Owlboy. It is unclear, however, which console is operated here.

D-pad started the development of Owlboy back in 2007 and finally released the retro-platformer in autumn 2016 for the PC after nearly ten years of work. The reason for the long development time: The game was created as a hobby project, but quickly grew to a full-fledged game and was after a demo released in 2011 again completely changed.Owlboy – See screenshots

The colleagues from the GameStar have already taken Owlboy under the microscope . Here, the adventure in the pixelated plumage of the owl boy proves to be a charming and clever retro-jump ‘n’ run and dust off a splendid 87.
