Overwatch – Blizzard announces new Heroine Moira
Publisher Blizzard has announced at BlizzCon 2017 a new character for the hero shooter Overwatch. Moire can both deal properly and heal team members.
is still one of the most popular hero shooters and is regularly provided with additional content by Blizzard. At BlizzCon 2017, which is currently taking place in Anaheim, USA, Blizzard has now announced new content for Overwatch, including Moira, a new playable heroine.
A scientist-character, she has connections to the past of Talon and Reaper and is able to deal damage properly as well as heal team members in a supporter role. Blizzard’s Vice President Jeff Kaplan said the Overwatch players would want more healers. He added that Moira is a kind of hybrid character, so rather untypical of the hero shooter. In addition to a trailer that you can watch under this news, Blizzard also released the unique heroes capabilities of Moira.
- Bionic Grasp: Using her left hand, Moira radiates biotic energy to heal her allies. With her right hand she fires a beam weapon, which draws energy from opponents and thereby refreshes their biotic energy.
- Bionic Orb: A sphere where you can set one of two effects. Option 1: Team members are healed as they pass through. Option 2: Enemies are weakened while passing.
- Fade: Moira telephones over a short distance.
- Coalescence: Moira fires a ray that heals allies as well as bypasses barriers and deals damage to enemies.
An exact release date for Moira called Blizzard not yet, but he should be “soon” – possibly so this year.
