Metal Gear Survive – Action game apparently relies on Always On

To play Metal Gear Survive, you have to be online. At least one hint in the game description suggests that.

Apparently, Metal Gear Survive relies on Always On. At least one hint in the product description suggests that. It is imperative that there is an active internet connection in order to be able to play the survival game.

It is still unclear whether the online duty applies to the entire game or only to a part. The wording, however, can be concluded at first. The official website states:

  • PlayStation Plus subscription required for online multiplayer
  • Internet connection needed to play the game

The same goes for the Xbox One version, which of course requires an XBL Gold subscription for the multiplayer.

Metal Gear Survive will be released on February 22, 2018 and can be pre-ordered now. The pre-order bonuses found here.
