Call of Duty WW2: As popular as last Black Ops 2
Call of Duty: WW2 not only convinces with better reviews than its predecessor Infinite Warfare , but also the number of active players speaks for itself.
With Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty had bottomed out last year. Although it could sell well, only very few have really played it. The highest level of simultaneously active players on Steam was just 15,000 people.
Call of Duty: WW2 is already convincing with over 76,000 players , making it the most popular call of duty since the still popular Black Ops 2. The latter reached a peak of 99,000 on Steam.
The figures given include both single and multiplayer, but only on the PC. Since Call of Duty is particularly at home in the US, especially on the consoles, so the actual total number of all active players is likely to be significantly higher. The return to the roots of the series has paid off.
