Assassin’s Creed: Origins – Once across Egypt in 16 minutes
The virtual Egypt in Assassin’s Creed: Origins is impressively large. According to Ubisoft , the size of the entire map is about the size of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag . However, the Caribbean was a very large part of water. Starting from the land area, Egypt is therefore the largest game world from the assassin series.
To illustrate the size of the map, Twinfinite’s team once rode across the land of the pharaohs. The result: 16 minutes and 8 seconds .
Similar experiments already exist for almost all known Open World games. Who wants to put the time in the relationship, will find on YouTube. The User Chaotic , for example, takes about 36 minutes on foot through San Andreas in GTA 5 .
Of course, times are difficult to compare . The movement speeds are not equal and the routes used are not identical. Nevertheless, these little experiments, apart from hard-to-imagine numbers, give a good idea of how big the worlds really are.
