1. Tame animals
In Assassin’s Creed: Origins, we not only have to deal with annoying soldier soldiers, but also encounter wild animals , some of which want us to leather. Crocodiles, for example. Or hippos. But did you know that we can tame wild animals as well?
To do this, you need to unlock the “Tame Animals” ability in the Seer branch on the skill tree. For example, to bring a hippopotamus to our side, we first have to send it to the land of dreams with sleep arrows. Wake up again, we are suddenly friendly, follow us at every turn and even support us in the fight.
2. Play with the fire!
Bayek strikes in the fight next to swords, double blades and spears on bow and arrow. The ranged weapon is not only suited to defeating unseen enemies, but is also for the hotheads among you the perfect choice.
We can fire darts at hearths. For example, in enemy camps, look out for red vases, shoot a fire arrow at them, and set up a pretty little fire that will cause a lot of chaos and distract your opponents.
3. Get rid of hippos & crocodiles quickly
Of course we can also use fire arrows against crocodiles and hippos. If you’re on a boat on the Nile and get annoyed by an angry animal, just set an arrow on the fire bowl on your boat on fire.
Look out for floating oil vases, shoot at it and watch as the water around it turns into a fire blanket that chases away the beasts. That’s not environmentally friendly, but it’s effective.
4. Release predators on soldiers
As in, for example, Middle-earth: Mordor’s Shadow or Shadow of War , it is possible in Assassin’s Creed: Origins to free predators from their cages in hostile camps and rush them to our opponents. Just shoot out of a hiding place on a cage door and see what a sugar-sweet destruction wave you have caused by it. But beware: predators like lions, of course, attack yourselves when you’re near them.
On the next page, we’ll tell you, among other things, how to control arrows on your predator’s bow and how to stroke cats.
